This<em> </em>study aimed to determine the effect of character strengths training on adolescents’ mastery goals mediated by happiness. The research is quasi-experimental with pre-test, post-test, follow-up, and control group. The statistical population included the first female High school that 66 ninth-grade students (33 in the experimental group, 33 in the control group) from District 4 of Tehran participated by Multi-stage cluster sampling. Before and after the program and one month after the training, both groups answered the Questionnaires Values in Action Inventory of Strengths Scale of Park & Peterson, Elliott & McGregor Goal Orientation, and Happiness Scale Lyubomirsky & Lepper. Students in the experimental group participated in the training program of character strengths in a group manner (in-person and online) in 10 two-hour sessions. Data analysis was performed by mixed analysis of variance and covariance. Findings showed that the intervention program of character strengths through happiness increases mastery. The results showed that the character strengths training program could guide students towards mastery and make them happier.
